It's kind of ironic how most people claim that they have no belief in astrology, yet they know their Zodiac sign.  Today's superstition of astrology is due to generations of unnecessary ignorance spread by the Christian church.  Astrology is thousands of years older than the Bible.  According to world history:  Ethiopia, Canaan (Babylon), and Egypt were the first human civilizations.  It's not just a coincidence that there are 12 signs in the zodiac, 12 months in the year, 12 tribes of Israel and 12 disciples of Jesus.  They are credited with the discovery of mathematics, writing, commerce, spirituality, astronomy and astrology.   Biblical astrologers include:  Enoch, Methuselah, Moses and Solomon.

Before birth, all human exist in water.  The first intake of oxygen imprinted each of us with the qualities existing in the atmosphere of the moment.  The Zodiac influences us daily through our oxygen, but the initial breath stamps us permanently.  People born under the same sign will display like-traits just like family members somewhat resemble in physical appearance.    Universal movement being constant, insures that no two people we be exactly alike.  Just as one day in Summer could be 65 degrees and cloudy, another 75 and sunny, and yet another 85 and humid, each day is unique but it is all still the same season.

In Astrology the sun sign represents a persons conscious thoughts and tendencies.  It is the voice in the head that  represents I.

No one knows the exact date that astrology began, but evidence of it's Eastern origins survive.  Archaeologists have uncovered bones in Zaire (Ishango) dating before 9,000 B.C., with accurate records of time, lunar phases and months.  Babylonian records from 4,000 B.C. indicate that star tracking was in regular use for seasonal planting, and cropping cycles.  The Egyptians (4,200 B.C.) were the first to discover it's use for determining man's characteristics and destined paths.

The West acquired astrology when Greece conquered Babylon in 331 B.C..  The Greeks took over the Babylonian astrology and renamed their constellations and planets.  The Romans (300 B.C.- 476 A.D.), further changed the names after being introduced to the science by Greek slaves whom they cuptured.  After Rome fell, Astrology went underground in the West due to Christianity declaring it the work of the Devil.
